Summary of Responsibilities:  The primary purpose of this position is to assist Oakland County Credit Union in living out its mission, "To make a positive difference in the financial lives of our members," by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, process member window and mail transactions covering loan payments, share deposits, withdrawals and transfers.  Provide members with information and reconcile any member problems pertaining to the teller functions.

Meets all established sales and service goals.

Possess adequate product knowledge as measured by the annual product knowledge certification assessment
Process all teller activities such as: cash member drafts/checks, disburse account withdrawals by cash or check, receive  account deposits, process transfer of funds between accounts, receive payments for loans, disburse money orders, process requests to close share accounts, process miscellaneous cash transactions.

Process mailed transactions, and night drop deposits.

Maintain a cash drawer and assist with balancing and reporting of daily cash receipts and disbursements. Scan checks for Check 21 processing to prepare deposit through the Federal Reserve banking system.

Provide members with general information and guidance on most Credit Union activities and services, reconciling member problems and referring the member to the correct department/personnel for further information.

Provide share draft services such as accepting check reorders, investigate check clearings, and help members reconcile their account.

Responsible for the routine security of cash trays, unused money orders, and corporate checks at the end of the day.  Maintain inventory and balance money orders, and U.S. postage stamps; verify change fund when necessary.

Participate in the Credit Union's cross-selling program, to strive to meet individual and group sales goals.  Expectations will include meeting sales goals, and continually developing sales skills.

Assist with daily ATM balancing, and identify and correct any discrepancies.

Verify ownership and assist members with their safety deposit box.

Verify cash order and bundle excess coin for weekly delivery.

Must be willing to maintain a work schedule determined by the demographic needs of the branch location, and be willing to adapt to the changing needs of the branch schedule as necessary.

Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations.

Perform other special assignments as needed.
